About Bully Creek Park
Set beside the tranquil Bully Creek Reservoir and surrounded by the rolling plains of eastern Oregon, Bully Creek Park Campground offers a peaceful retreat for campers seeking scenic water views, quiet nights, and wildlife encounters. Just 10 miles west of Vale, Oregon, this well-maintained campground provides easy access to fishing, boating, and birdwatching, with the reservoir serving as a haven for waterfowl and other local wildlife.
Bully Creek Park features 40 campsites, all equipped with electric hookups, along with three restrooms, hot showers, covered picnic areas, and a two-lane concrete boat launch. The campground’s grassy areas and trees provide a mix of shade and openness, though some sites are less sheltered. A day-use area complements the campground, ideal for picnics or enjoying the reservoir's views. Campers should note that while water is available onsite for non-drinking purposes, high arsenic levels render it unsuitable for consumption—plan to bring your own potable water.
This campground serves as a great stopover for a night or two or a longer escape for anglers and nature enthusiasts. Its proximity to Vale also connects visitors to the area's authentic small-town charm, making it an excellent base for exploring southeastern Oregon’s quiet beauty.
