About Bumblebee Campground
The tranquil Bumblebee Campground offers a classic Idaho camping experience, combining seclusion, natural beauty, and convenient access to outdoor activities. Situated amidst the lush forest of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests at 2,200 feet elevation, it rests near Bumblebee Creek and the Little North Fork Coeur d'Alene River, delivering serene creekside settings and opportunities for water recreation.
This campground features two loops and 24 campsites, equipped with picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. A hand-pump for potable water is available at the group site, making the facility suitable for tent camping or small RVs, though no hookups are provided. Its forested environment ensures a good level of privacy between sites, while the peaceful ambiance makes it ideal for family getaways, fishing trips, or nature-focused retreats.
Located just 20 miles north of Kingston and within a 30-minute drive to the historic town of Wallace, Bumblebee Campground doubles as a base for exploring the famous Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes and Route of the Hiawatha for hiking and biking enthusiasts. Visitors can also enjoy wildlife spotting, creekside relaxation, or a deeper dive into the area's rich mining history through nearby attractions.
