Jack Morgan Park

Isolated along both sides of Highway 229 at mile marker 17.5, Jack Morgan Park Campground offers a serene escape deep in the forested beauty of Oregon's Coast Range. Distinguished by its tranquil campsites nestled under a canopy of spruce trees and its proximity to the peaceful Siletz River, this campground provides the perfect retreat for nature lovers who enjoy fishing, kayaking, and wildlife watching.

The campground spans 11 acres, with the east side dedicated to year-round woodland camping along Hough Creek. It features 17 first-come, first-served campsites, each equipped with a picnic table, fireplace/barbecue pit, and nearby potable water. Additionally, a rustic camping cabin is available for overnight stays. Vault toilets and a concrete boat ramp on the west side of the park—ideal for boating or fishing—serve as convenient amenities. This section is also a day-use area with picnic tables, making it great for quick outings. However, the campground is fully unplugged, offering no RV hookups for sewer, water, or electricity, which aligns with its back-to-basics camping experience.

Located near the small town of Siletz, Jack Morgan Park is a prime destination for a peaceful weekend getaway or a brief stopover when traveling the Central Oregon Coast. Within 30 minutes, visitors can explore additional outdoor opportunities, including hiking, fishing, and scenic drives through lush, dense forests.
