Lakeside Extension

Isolated yet welcoming, the Lakeside Extension campground at Lake Bronson State Park offers a serene retreat along the tranquil waters of Lake Bronson, surrounded by the unique blend of Minnesota prairie and aspen parkland. With its mix of standard, electric, and canoe-in sites, this campground caters to a variety of camping preferences, from family-friendly weekends to adventurous solo excursions. Located just two miles east of Lake Bronson on County Highway 28, the campground provides easy access to a range of recreational activities. Boating enthusiasts will appreciate the boat ramp, while hikers and bikers can explore 14 miles of trails winding through diverse habitats teeming with wildlife. The park’s historic WPA-built observation tower offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, adding a touch of history to the natural splendor. On-site amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, a playground, and a visitor center, ensuring a comfortable stay for all campers.
