About Lodgepole Campground
What makes Lodgepole Campground unique is its scenic vistas of Georgetown Lake framed by the towering Pintler Range, offering campers access to serene mountain beauty, abundant wildlife, and outdoor recreation at its finest. This large campground in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest provides 29 campsites suitable for both tents and RVs, with some sites reservable and others available on a first-come basis. While the campground is across the highway from the lake with no direct access, the nearby Red Bridge Boat Launch ensures easy entry for fishing, paddling, and boating enthusiasts.
Located about 10 miles south of Philipsburg, Montana, Lodgepole Campground lies near Georgetown Lake, a hub for kokanee salmon, rainbow trout fishing, and water sports. The area also offers numerous hiking and biking trails, with opportunities to spot elk, moose, and other wildlife. Within a short drive, visitors can explore Lost Creek State Park’s dramatic cliffs and waterfalls or relax at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, known for its pools and golf course.
