About Old Town Campground

Where the lush forests meet the shimmering waters of Perry Lake, the Old Town Campground offers a harmonious blend of tranquil seclusion, accessible amenities, and abundant recreational opportunities. Situated in Perry Lake State Park in northeast Kansas, this campground stands out for its well-maintained campsites, options for both primitive and electric setups, and proximity to scenic trails and fishing hotspots.

The campground features 37 campsites—4 of which are primitive—spread across open grassy areas near the lake and shaded loops set back for added privacy. Each site is equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, and the grounds include restrooms, showers, a dump station, and a playground, making it an ideal setting for families and solo adventurers alike. Perry Lake itself is a hub for activities such as boating, swimming, and fishing, and the extensive 29-mile Perry Lake Trail provides diverse terrain for hiking and biking.

Located near Ozawkie, Old Town Campground is approximately a 30-minute drive from the vibrant communities of Topeka, Lawrence, and Kansas City, offering easy access to dining, shopping, and other attractions. Its serene environment and convenient amenities make it perfect for stopovers, weekend escapes, or extended vacations in the heartland of Kansas.
