Set along the eastern shore of Union Valley Reservoir, Wench Creek Campground offers a serene retreat framed by towering ponderosa pines and crystal-clear waters. Catering to a range of camping preferences, Wench Creek features 100 single-family sites and two group sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs. Each site includes a fire ring, picnic table, and access to potable water, while amenities such as vault and flush toilets enhance convenience. Without electrical hookups, it prioritizes an immersive experience, complemented by a nearby boat launch, swimming beach, and direct access to the Union Valley Bike Trail. Wildlife is abundant in the area, so proper food storage is essential.

Located 19 miles north of Icehouse Road near Kyburz, California, the campground is nestled in Eldorado National Forest’s Crystal Basin at an elevation of 4,900 feet.
