Perched along the sparkling Big Wood River and shaded by Douglas firs, aspens, and lodgepole pines, the Wood River Campground offers a quiet, scenic camping escape just 10 miles north of Ketchum, Idaho. Combining easy access to the Sawtooth National Recreation Area's trails and the river’s fishing and tubing opportunities, this campground excels in natural beauty and outdoor activities.
The campground features 30 sites accommodating tents and RVs on a first-come, first-served basis, as well as a reservable group area for larger gatherings. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, and an amphitheater for ranger-led programs. The Harriman Trail nearby invites hikers and bikers to explore deep canyons and alpine lakes, while Easley Hot Springs, just 4 miles north, offers a relaxing soak. Families will appreciate the tranquil atmosphere and numerous spots for riverside relaxation.
