About Pioneer Campground
Pioneer Campground, situated at 5,600 feet along the serene banks of the Blacksmith Fork River, offers a tranquil escape with secluded sites surrounded by black willow and box elder trees. Just 9 miles from Hyrum, Utah, the campground defies expectations with its blend of natural beauty and opportunities for outdoor adventure, including hiking, fishing, and mountain biking.
This small campground features 17 single sites, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and access to vault restrooms. While no hookups or waste stations are available, potable water is on-site, making it a convenient but rustic choice for tent campers and smaller RVs. The rugged surrounding hills and peaceful riverside setting provide a perfect base for exploring nearby trails, spotting wildlife, or enjoying scenic drives, such as the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway.
Pioneer Campground is ideally located within easy reach of Hyrum State Park and Logan, combining the solitude of a forest retreat with access to local attractions. Its riverside charm and shaded campsites make it an excellent choice for weekend getaways, quiet fishing trips, or peaceful nature retreats.
